'You are truly master surgeons and first class professionals with whom I would trust my family, friends and patients, without hesitation.'
Over the last several years, I have had the privilege to observe and participate in numerous urogynecology cases along the east coast (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland) and never have I seen anyone make it look so "easy." Your surgical proficiency and communicative skill in the operating room were inspiring and second to none. You are truly master surgeons and first class professionals with whom I would trust my family, friends and patients, without hesitation.
The entire experience, from the first incision to the placement of the last suture, was phenomenal. Thank you for taking the time to explain your techniques and for giving me the "why" you do the things you do.
You have “single-handedly” helped to launch my little island into urogynecology of the 21st century. I have returned to my GYN practice more confident, energized, and looking forward to placing the Miniarc and Elevate systems.
Thank you for all the generous hospitality and for allowing me to be part of an incredible Operating Room and learning experience.

'One of the things I took away was how bloodless your procedures were.'
Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore - I wanted to thank you for your hospitality and your time while Dr. Ayers and I were in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. Dr. Ayers, just out of Howard University's med school, was very animated and enthusiastic about what he saw while he was with you. One of the things that I took away was how blood-less your procedures were. I was impressed with the systems you had in place, and your ability to explain exactly what you were doing and why. Those tips and hints are priceless. All the while, you brought your personalities into the mix, so we not only learned quite a bit, we had a little fun as well.
You all were great hosts, and even better preceptors. Thank you for having us.

'The world needs your skills.'
Your kindness in allowing me into your operating room to observe surgery was overwhelming. Moreover, I would like to thank you for taking additional time to personally 'teach' about the techniques that you have developed and perfected. The understanding of laparoscopic surgery (done correctly) that I witnessed has left a large impact on my medical career. Laparoscopic surgery at its best is something my generation probably missed out on. I am grateful to have at least seen it. You both are superb teachers and ones that make a difference in those in attendance. Your entire practice from start to finish is super. I thought I gave a good informed consent until I heard yours. Keep your mission goals global and help all you can. The world needs your skills. Thank you again for an awe-inspiring day of surgery.

'We came across your website and were very impressed...'
I write on behalf of myself and a colleague. We are both Cosmetic Surgeons and practice in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia respectively.
We each perform many Breast Augmentations and have for some time felt that the psyche of the Breast Augmentation patient may also lend an interest towards genital appearance surgery and accordingly wish to be able to offer that surgery in those indicated for it.
I then happened to come across your website and was very impressed. So much so, that I now write to ask whether you (Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore) would be willing to teach us your techniques on labioplasty (both minor and major), clitoral hood reduction and vaginoplasty.

'I have learned a lot from watching your videos and reading your papers.'
I am a member of the AAGL and work as a Consultant in the United Kingdom, in a place called Southend-on-Sea. I am a gynecologist and have been working in the UK for the last ten years. I have a keen interest in gynae laparoscopy and have watched your operative videos, both on your website and on surgeryU with interest. In particular, I am fascinated by your suturing techniques. I marvel at the speed with which you perform extracorporeal suturing. I have learned a lot from watching your videos and reading your papers. I hope I will be able to watch you in action some time in the future.

'If my mother or wife needed surgery, I would send them to Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore!'
Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore certainly treat their patients with intimate healthcare needs not duplicated by many physicians worldwide. I have personally been in over 1,000 operating rooms and with Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore, I witnessed a higher level of skill than you normally see. They are constantly researching new technologies to better the patient and because of their surgical skill set, clinical perspective and teaching entity, they are globally considered taught leaders. If my mother or wife needed surgery, I would send them to Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore!

'I am writing this to thank you for demonstrating the procedures so well. '
Dear Dr. Robert Moore,
I wish to share my experience and thank you. I had attended the Meeting at SAIFEE HOSPITAL MUMBAI (where I am attending also). After the workshop, I had a chance to operate on a few patients and I am happy to say it was fairly easy apart from taking a bit longer than you! Both patients did well with no problems.
I am writing this to thank you for demonstrating the procedures so well. I had the confidence in tackling these cases. I will strive to publicize this operation - which to me now is the 'Robert Moore method' – at various centers here in Mumbai and elsewhere in India.

'Thank you for teaching me.'
Dr. Moore, we met in AMS Miami Cadaver lab last month. I am Dr. Maiti, from Mexico. You showed me the Miniarc technique. Well, returning back I put my first Miniarc. I felt it well with the technique. I had no problem putting in the sling. The patient had no pain. I saw her 10 days after, good healing, no pain, no voiding problem and no incontinence. Thanks for your teaching. Hope we can meet some other time.

'Not only is [Dr. Miklos] an accomplished pelvic surgeon, he specializes in sexual dysfunction related to anatomic changes of the vagina.'
I had the pleasure of evaluating [a patient] on 12/9/08 for complaints of urinary incontinence, prolapse, and sexual dysfunction. She was previously evaluated at… Massachusetts General Hospital and Dr. Miklos at Atlanta Urogynecology Associates. On my evaluation, she was noted to have prolapse and was associated sexual dysfunction. Simple CMG was deferred but she has demonstrated stress incontinence on previous evaluation. I had a lengthy discussion with her regarding treatment options including surgical correction.
Based on my evaluation of the patient and my knowledge of the other providers she has seen, I would think she would best be served by continuing treatment with Dr. Miklos. I am familiar with his work and have had the opportunity to refer several patients to him with similar complaints. Not only is he an accomplished pelvic surgeon, he specializes in sexual dysfunction related to anatomic changes of the vagina. Given her symptoms of sexual dysfunction and difficulty achieving orgasm, she would be be served by his clinical experience and expertise.

'Both of you certainly are master surgeons...'
"I want to congratulate you for the excellent SurgeryU live telesurgery this morning. The transmission went very well, the pictures were crisp and showed the minute detail of the operative field, and the audio was clear. Both of you certainly are master surgeons, and I just want to thank you for your willingness to take time from your busy schedules to share your expert's knowledge and surgical skill with your colleagues worldwide.
Again, my appreciation. I look forward to seeing you at AAGL in November."

'Rob (Dr. Moore) and John (Dr. Miklos) are at the leading edge of vaginal and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery and this was evident in their superb surgical skills. '
“It was my pleasure to visit Rob Moore and John Miklos on 2 occasions in 2007 and 2009. Rob (Dr. Moore) and John (Dr. Miklos) are at the leading edge of vaginal and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery and this was evident in their superb surgical skills.
They are also leaders in teaching and research and were generous in sharing their knowledge and time.
Both Rob and John are very patient focused, they listened to and carefully examined their patients and were thus able to tailor surgery that was individualized, skilful and appropriate. As a urogynecologist myself I would be very happy to have surgery performed on me by either Rob or John.”

'Your surgical skills for the treatment of women... particularly those requiring laparoscopic approaches, are EXTRAORDINARY.'
“It is hard to believe that it has been over a decade since I completed my laparoscopic fellowship in Urogynecology with you in Atlanta. You remain a vital asset for women and physicians.Your surgical skills for the treatment of women with complex pelvic floor issues, particularly those requiring laparoscopic approaches, are EXTRAORDINARY. The addition of Rob (Dr Moore) has further expanded your ability to treat even more women affected by these conditions. You have long been a resource for cutting-edge technologies as well as advances in treatment, many times resulting in improvements for patients and physicians. You are due much of the credit for pioneering minimally invasive surgery in our field of specialty. It is a pleasure and an honor to have you as a colleague and resource.”

'The bottom line is that your work has raised the bar for surgical excellence in our field for everyone else, including myself.'
Dear John (Dr. Miklos) :
Thank you for all of your generous hospitality and for allowing me to watch you and Rob (Dr. Moore) work. I came away with a much greater sense of appreciation for your techniques and was very impressed with your results.
John (Dr. Miklos), in many ways your innovations defy traditional teaching and I think that this make some people uncomfortable, especially since it challenges their own convictions and skill levels. The fact that you have been able to be so successful outside the bounds of academics medicine probably has something to do with it as well. The bottom line is that your work has raised the bar for surgical excellence in our field for everyone else, including myself.

'Watching you perform a laparoscopic Sacral Colpopexy really inspired me in my desire to pursue further training in advanced laparoscopy.'
Dear John (Dr. Miklos) :
I just wanted to thank you for your hospitality last week. Watching you perform a laparoscopic Sacral Colpopexy really inspired me in my desire to pursue further training in advanced laparoscopy. You also helped me to have a better understanding of anatomic relationships of the posterior vaginal wall. Thank you also for a wonderful dinner and for taking the time to answer all of my questions.

'Your pearls and advice will certainly help my pelvic surgery technique.'
Dear John (Dr. Miklos) :
I really appreciate you allowing me to observe you and Rob (Dr. Moore) perform pelvic surgery. Thank you for taking time to explain your techniques, even tough it cut in to your "length of surgery" time. The reasons for "why" you do what you do based on clinical data and common sense were very informative. Your pearls and advice will certainly help my pelvic surgery technique. Being with you and Rob (Dr. Moore) in the OR was a very inspiring experience - to the point that I plan to start doing laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy procedures. It is always exciting to see a laparoscopically skilled surgeon performing cutting-edge procedures. In fact your laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy is so much smoother and faster than any other procedure I've seen by Dr. XXXXX (an internationally renowned laparoscopic surgeon ) do. It's true that one must first be skilled at an abdominal procedure, in terms of anatomy and technique, prior to attempting it laparoscopically.
By the way, the idea of lateral posterior vaginal wall defects is revolutionary and anatomically sound. I hope to help more women have better results by not only using the dermal graft but also by improving my technique. Thank you once again, and I hope to see you at a urogyn meeting in the future.
Tina Edraki, MD
'You are both awesome surgeons and it was a pleasure watching you both operate.'
John (Dr. Miklos) and Rob (Dr. Moore) :
Thanks for the hospitality – I actually saw a patient today that may be a great candidate for a laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy and paravaginal. You are both awesome surgeons and it was a pleasure watching you both operate. I am going to be your biggest fan at AUGS (American Urogynecology Society).
