Single Incision Sling (Mini Sling): Difficulty Emptying Bladder
Mini slings can also create an obstructive effect on the urethra making it difficult to empty the bladder. This complication occurs less than 1% of the time after surgery. Sometimes the patient will complain of the inability to empty bladder, slowing of the urination stream, or partially emptying the bladder. If a patient suffers from a vaginal mesh complication such as bladder neck obstruction resulting in difficult emptying her bladder a vaginal mesh removal can be performed.
