Patient is a physician and pediatrician who had been previously diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosus. The skin of her vulva and anus often crack and bleed and other symptoms including pain, irritation and itching. Initially it affected her perineum and the area round her anus but over last several years the condition has progressed and includes the clitoral hood area. She is NOT currently sexually active due to these symptoms as well as pain with intercourse. She has difficulty walking or working out due to the rubbing and irritation in the area.
She was diagnosed over 7 years ago and has tried many therapies including:
• steroid cream (Clobetasol)
• estrogen cream
• intravenous – immunoglobulin therapy
She stated the signs and symptoms of Lichen Sclerosis come and go. Currently she is not as inflamed or cracked. She has read about and is interested in Radiofrequency with microneedle therapy (Morpheus) w/ Platelets and Amdrop ™ injections. She has had 3 treatments each 4-6 weeks apart. Her before and after photos are seen below.
Not only are there noticeable differences in the tissue integrity but there is a physical difference in the tissue pliability and the patient’s symptoms have dramatically improved. She can now walk long distances and enjoy working out and activities which she has not enjoyed for years. This patient is a doctor who thought she had exhausted all treatment parameters until she found Miklos & Moore Urogynecology to treat her Lichen Sclerosus.
